About The Position

Join our cardiovascular team and play an important role in procedures that can lead to incredible patient outcomes. Assist physicians at the surgical table, handle equipment, operate X-ray equipment, and assist with cardiac catheterizations. The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides services to all in-house patients or outpatients, patients directly from the Emergency Room, or patients transferred from other health care facilities, excluding pediatric patients. Basic physical, emotional and educational assessment of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization. Analgesia and moderate sedation needs are assessed prior, during and post procedure by the nurse. Assistance to physicians performing diagnostic and interventional procedures; pharmacologic and hemodynamic support of patients before, during and after all invasive procedures. Post-procedural assessment, stabilization and transfer to appropriate medical/surgical service.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years experience
• RCIS
• BLS
• Medical-field knowledge recommended

Nice To Haves

• Radiology Tech or Surgical Tech experience offers transferable skills

Responsibilities

• Assists with cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Calculates hemodynamic values for the physician during diagnostic and intervention procedures.
• Prepares room and supplies for cardiac catheterization procedures.
