CV Hospitalist Nocturnist

Intermountain Health
Onsite

About The Position

This position is for an ABIM certified or eligible physician to join a nationally recognized health system dedicated to helping people live the healthiest lives possible. The Cardiovascular Hospitalist team works primarily out of the Acute Cardiovascular unit at Utah Valley Hospital. This collaborative group of Internal Medicine trained/certified Hospitalists admits patients with a presumed primary cardiac condition and provides comprehensive consultative services within the CV unit. There are dedicated CV Intensivists, so no ICU care is provided by the CV Hospitalist team. They manage most heart failure, acute MI, myopericarditis, primary and secondary arrhythmias admitted. If a patient is found to have a primary medical condition after initial work-up, the CV Hospitalist team continues to manage the patient. The patient population covers the whole breadth of Internal Medicine, as they work closely with various specialists. No additional or specialized cardiovascular training is required, and cardiac-focused education will be provided during clinical onboarding. Through their career, they are expected to acquire and apply an in-depth understanding of cardiovascular disease, treatment, and imaging modalities. Candidates should have a passion for caring for cardiovascular patients. Full-time CV Hospitalists are contracted for twelve 12-hour shifts monthly, get paid for shifts in excess of that average, and work amongst peers to request and cover time off.
