Requirements

• A certificate or associate's degree in Echocardiography or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography will get you started. You’ll learn all about heart anatomy, ultrasound technology, and much more!

Nice To Haves

• Certification is not required, but earning credentials like Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer can open doors and boost your career!

Responsibilities

• Using ultrasound equipment, you’ll create stunning images of the heart to assess its function and diagnose heart conditions.
• You’ll be an essential part of the cardiology team, performing diagnostic tests and sharing your findings with cardiologists to guide patient care.
• Interview and prepare patients for their heart exams, guiding them through the process and ensuring the images are top-notch.
• From relaxing, lying-down tests to high-energy treadmill exams, you’ll help assess how the heart performs under different conditions.
