About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery in Mason City, Iowa. The role involves inpatient clinical duties, including assisting in the OR, managing ICU/Floor patients, and providing weekday night call and 24-hour weekend call coverage. The Nurse Practitioner will support 1-2 physicians in providing comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care.
Requirements
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Active IA License
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of CT Surgery experience
- Clean Malpractice/Background
- Self-Query NPDB Report within 30 days
- Proficient in all aspects of Cardiothoracic Surgery including CABG, EVH, open valvular surgery, thoracic procedures such as thoracotomy and lobectomy.
Responsibilities
- Assist daily in the OR with surgery
- Manage ICU/Floor patients in the hospital
- Provide weekday night call coverage
- Provide weekend 24-hour on-call coverage
- Support 1-2 physicians in all aspects of cardiothoracic surgical care
