Cardiothoracic Surgery Outpatient Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) Part Time - 24 Hours/week
About The Position
United Health Services Hospitals is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established outpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Binghamton, NY. This is a part-time opportunity, 24 hours a week. This outpatient role offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team of surgeons specializing in cardiac and thoracic surgery. The position includes a competitive starting salary of $81,600 - $91,200 (prorated based on 0.6 FTE) with bonus incentives, a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package, including malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of NP/PA experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Prior experience as an APP or RN in a surgical setting preferred
- Active New York State NP or PA license required
- DEA registration and board certification required
Responsibilities
- Conduct new and established patient visits in an outpatient setting, including comprehensive evaluations and ongoing care management
- Perform patient consultations with thorough education on procedures and treatment plans
- Provide postoperative care and follow-up for surgical patients, monitoring recovery and addressing complications as needed
- Coordinate patient communication and triage inquiries in collaboration with clinical and administrative team members
