About The Position

The Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery Navigator serves as a specialized clinical professional responsible for coordinating and optimizing the patient experience across the continuum of cardiothoracic and vascular surgical care. This role ensures seamless coordination, high-quality education, accurate risk assessment, and consistent follow-up to support optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction. The Navigator collaborates closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and external vendors to maintain excellence in clinical operations and quality metrics.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program or school of nursing
  • Graduate of a medical assisting program and has passed the CMA/RMA Certification Examination of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists and maintains currency of the CMA/RMA credential
  • 1 year of cardiothoracic/vascular experience in inpatient or outpatient setting required.
  • Montana Licensure as an RN or LPN
  • CMA certification
  • BLS
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of individuals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of health care facilities and processes
  • Knowledge of local community and surrounding areas
  • Self-management skills
  • Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Coding
  • Medical terminology
  • Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Criminal background check
  • Drug Screening
  • Health and Immunizations Screening

Nice To Haves

  • ASN, BSN, or MSN, preferred
  • 2-3 years or more of prior cardiothoracic/vascular experience in inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Related experience in an ambulatory setting, preferably in a medical office.
  • ACLS, preferred
