Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory (BSRC or BSRT) preferred and may be required if the hospital operates a blood gas laboratory.
  • Current RRT registry required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in cardiopulmonary activities required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as appropriate, while directing and supervising the Respiratory Therapy Department.
  • Oversight of ancillary services departments, to include laboratory and radiology, dependent upon hospital need and structure.
