About The Position

Become a part of our caring community As a Cardiology Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in the Cardiology Specialty practice. Involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical service. Location : Specialty Care at the Center for Advanced Healthcare at Brownwood (CAHB) office address: 2955 Brownwood Boulevard, The Villages, Florida 32163 Cardiology Registered Nurse Role Overview: Supports daily operations with the assistance of the Clinical Supervisor of the Cardiology Clinic. Coordinates the work activities and schedules in a manner consistent with the Specialty Center along with input and guidance from the Specialty Clinical and Practice Support Supervisors. Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned by verifying cardiology schedules and provider coverage. Assist with cardiac device management. Assist clinicians with various procedures, charting, relaying instructions to patients/families, answering calls and providing pertinent information. Assists with preparation of Stress ECHOs. Effectively communicate ECG abnormalities by notifying cardiologist. Download results for pacer maker interrogation to EMR and assign to ordering provider for review... Download results of tracings for stress tests and upload them to EMR and assign to ordering provider for review. Administer prescribed medications and manage patients while recognizing signs of deterioration and respond to cardiac emergencies. Assist and maintain training for current cardiology workflows along with equipment operation/maintenance. Works with Central Supply Coordinator to ensure stock levels and adequate orders are placed on time. Monitors medications and medical supplies for expired dates. Maintains crash cart supplies and use of meds in the event of a code. Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned Monitors the Power share/Nuance program regarding incoming and outgoing images. Obtain ABN’s as necessary. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate maintenance on treadmill equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Comply with safety standards. Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned. Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned. Promote wellness by communicating physician advice/instructions. Communicate with other team members in clinical and clerical areas to provide a successful patient-centered experience. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • A diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
  • A current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
  • Minimum 1-3 years of cardiac care, critical care or clinical setting with ECG rhythm interpretation
  • Must possess a current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Current health records with the appropriate immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis)
