About The Position

Our Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a Hybrid General Cardiology Physician Assistant to join our comprehensive APP team. This well-established group offers a strong culture, dedicated APP leadership, and a collaborative environment where you’ll have the opportunity to practice at the top of your license. By joining our team, you’ll provide comprehensive care to a diverse inpatient population while being supported by a top-rated health care system, fully implemented EMR, and nearby admitting hospitals. Requirements

• National certification as a PA
• Virginia licensure (or willing to obtain)
• Active DEA
• Embrace a team-oriented approach
• Strong desire to make a difference in the community

Responsibilities

• 4 10-hour shifts per week
• 1:1 APP-to-MD/DO support
• 50/50 split Inpatient and Outpatient responsibilities including: Daily rounding, Cardiology consults, Discharges, Clinic Days
• 1–2 major holiday call shifts per year
• 3–5 weekend call shifts per year
• Extensive onboarding and orientation designed to support your success
• Ongoing professional development through: Continuing education opportunities, Grand rounds, System-wide CME opportunities, Concurrent didactic cardiology curriculum designed to enhance your knowledge, clinical expertise, and competency in the evaluation and management of cardiovascular disease
