About The Position

The cardiology nurse practitioner serves as a health-care provider who specializes in suspected or known heart diseases. Your job as a nurse practitioner includes outpatient and telehealth visits. You will provide curbside consultations, coordinate pacemaker and defibrillator monitoring, and administer IV medications. You will oversee stress testing and deliver educational presentations to patients and providers. This is a rare opportunity that allows for work-life balance within the field of cardiology, with working hours M-F, and no hospital call or weekend requirements. and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. You will report to the cardiologist. This job is onsite, 8-5. Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted APRN license or willing to obtain a medical license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited APRN program of an accredited university.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communications with colleagues/patients.
  • Knowledge of how to use email and EMR.
  • At least one year of experience working as a cardiovascular nurse practitioner.
  • Experience with pacemaker/ICD monitoring.
  • Ability to place IVs and administer IV medications.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate of the ACC (AACC credential).
  • Experience with dobutamine pump.
  • Experience in electrophysiology.
  • Experience managing a Medicare Advantage panel of patients with understanding of best practice in coordinated care environment.
  • Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.
