About The Position

Heart and Vascular Associates of Tampa (HAVAT) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—either a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)—to join our growing cardiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient setting alongside experienced cardiologists, contributing to high-quality patient care and innovative service offerings. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment as the practice is experiencing significant growth. The practice has its own in-house Cath Lab providing both cardiac and vascular services. Among other initiatives, the clinic is launching an after-hours cardiac quick-care service and seeking credentialling to become an Ambulatory Surgical Center. Our cardiologists maintain hospital credentials where the APP will be required to assist with inpatient rounding. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited PA or APRN program
  • Active Florida license as a PA or APRN
  • Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in interventional cardiology or Cath lab preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead outpatient clinic clinic from Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM but hours may vary
  • Flexibility to accommodate patient scheduling needs, including evenings or weekends and early start times assist with inpatient rounding.
  • Diagnose, treat, and educate patients with cardiovascular conditions
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists and clinical staff
  • Able to quickly adapt to rapid growth and changes within the office.
  • Must adhere to practice protocols, guidelines, and standards of care.
  • Compliance with all regulatory and ongoing licensing requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage patient caseload and documentation efficiently.
  • Maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor in all patient interactions.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Support new service initiatives and adapt to practice growth
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold clinical standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements
