About The Position

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a new outpatient cardiology practice in Whispering Pines, North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to help establish and grow a new location, providing cardiovascular care in a growing community. The position involves seeing new and follow-up patients, managing cardiovascular conditions, and educating patients, all within a Monday-Friday schedule. The practitioner will collaborate with an established cardiology team and coordinate care using Epic EMR. This is an opportunity to join a full-service cardiology practice with over 30 providers and be part of the FirstHealth Physician Group, a network of over 400 hospital-employed providers.

Requirements

• NP must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner education program and hold national certification.
• PA must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold NCCPA certification.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and discretion in clinical decision-making.
• Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.
• Clean background.
• North Carolina licensure.
• DEA registration.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of advanced practice experience in cardiology preferred.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide new patient and follow-up visits.
• Ongoing management of cardiovascular conditions.
• Patient education in collaboration with the cardiology team.
• Coordinate care.
• Complete timely documentation and administrative tasks in Epic EMR.
