About The Position

The Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida (CVI), a partner practice of Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA), is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Ocala, Florida. The role is available as a full-time position providing outpatient and inpatient cardiovascular care, or as a PRN opportunity providing occasional inpatient weekend coverage. New graduates interested in cardiology are welcome to apply for the full-time role.

The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, combining clinic visits and hospital care, with approximately one weekend per month. The PRN role involves occasional weekends providing inpatient cardiology coverage.

CVI serves Ocala and surrounding communities with comprehensive cardiovascular care. The practice offers mentorship, supportive onboarding, exposure to a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, opportunities to build skills alongside experienced cardiologists and APPs, and access to resources across the CVAUSA network.

Requirements

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Interest in continued learning and delivering quality cardiovascular care.

Nice To Haves

• Cardiology experience is preferred, though it is not required for the full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Participate in hospital rounding, consultations, and follow-up care.
• See patients in the outpatient clinic as part of the full-time position.
• Order and interpret cardiovascular testing.
• Work closely with cardiologists and fellow APPs to develop treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and complete timely clinical documentation.
