Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) /Physician Assistant (PA)
About The Position
A busy, well-established, physician-led cardiology practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The position focuses primarily on inpatient hospital rounding, while also maintaining involvement in outpatient patient care. The successful candidate will work independently as appropriate and collaboratively with cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with no nights or weekends. Annual salary is $140,000–$150,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic testing, and treatment protocols.
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a busy patient population and prioritize clinical responsibilities.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
Nice To Haves
- Prior cardiology experience is strongly preferred, particularly in inpatient cardiology or hospital-based care.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily hospital rounds and manage hospitalized cardiology patients.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Coordinate patient care with cardiologists, hospitalists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Review diagnostic testing and laboratory results.
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
- Assist with discharge planning and ensure appropriate continuity of care.
