About The Position

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated advanced practice provider to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. Join an established team of 1 physicians and 1 APP. Practice setting: this is a consultative service only; volume varies but must be prepared to work in various areas of the hospital including critical care. Cardiology Inpatient Hospitalist focus; No formal call schedule. Premier full-service hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Center. As a flagship facility, it hosts eight Centers of Excellence, including a comprehensive Heart Center and Transplant Center. Integrated referral network. Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Masters Degree of Nursing required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Practice Provider
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care autonomously across the continuum, from the Progressive Care Unit to high-acuity Critical Care settings.
