About The Position
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cardiology & ECG Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This position primarily covers every other weekend, making it a great option for someone seeking flexibility and work-life balance, whether you're balancing another job, education, or personal commitments.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of cardiac procedures and medical terminology is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Comfortable operating and troubleshooting medical equipment
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach when working with patients.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with ECGs and cardiac monitor placement is preferred - we're willing to train the right candidate
Responsibilities
- Performs ECGs on patients and ensures exams are turned in to the physician.
- Prepares patients for other cardiology procedures to include cardiology stress testing, holter monitoring, and event monitoring.
- Reviews patient's record and instructs patient before and during procedures.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains exam areas.
- Ensures procedure charges are obtained and entered in the appropriate software with timeliness and accuracy.
