About The Position

Legacy Medical Group is a physician-run organization in the Portland, Oregon region with a continually expanding cardiology practice. We are seeking enthusiastic providers to help grow our interventional, general invasive or non-invasive, imaging, preventive, and heart failure programs. Opportunities are available at both downtown and close-in suburban hospital locations. The practice currently includes 15 General Cardiologists, 10 interventional cardiologists, 4 Electrophysiologists, 18 APPs, 5 vascular surgeons, and 4 cardiothoracic surgeons. LMG has over 1500 employed providers and a robust primary care network, with 6 acute care hospitals. Annually, the group performs over 1100 PCI, 150 TAVRs, 750 pacemakers/ICDs, and 500 ablations. This role offers opportunities in echocardiography, cardiac CT, nuclear imaging, and MRI. Compensation is at the national median, including CME, relocation, and generous benefits. There is a two-year guarantee with a transition to a production-based model. A strong and supportive hospitalist service, integrated cardiac surgery and vascular surgery, and a blend of inpatient consult and hospital-based clinic coverage are key features. Opportunities for teaching, research, and quality improvement projects are also available. The starting salary guarantee ranges from $500,128 to $589,451 annually, with a competitive production-based compensation plan, hire-on bonus, CME allowance, and relocation reimbursement allowance. Current opportunities include General Cardiologist (invasive or non-invasive), Cardiologist with Advanced Heart Failure experience, Cardiologist with Advanced Imaging experience, and Interventional Cardiologist. Requirements

  • Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. medical School or the equivalent
  • Satisfactory completion of accredited residency in Internal medicine and fellowship in Cardiology.
  • Clinical experience in Cardiology required.
  • Board Certified in Cardiology.
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
