About The Position

The Veterinary Specialty Centre of Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking a passionate and skilled Board Certified Cardiologist to join their exceptional team. This is the province’s only specialty referral center and full-service emergency hospital, founded to ensure pet owners do not have to leave the province for proper care. The hospital boasts the only board-certified radiologist, regular locum board-certified surgeons, a CT scanner, and an MRI machine. They also run a canine blood donor program and have the only 24-hour ICU staffed Sunday-Thursday. The center offers the opportunity to practice gold standard medicine with an exciting and diverse caseload in the emergency department, fostering lifelong learning and growth. Requirements

  • Board Certification or board eligible
  • Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Passion for what you do every day
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude
  • Strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both when dealing with clients and team members
  • Strong organizational skills which allow you to work independently and effectively under pressure
