Operates ultrasound equipment used to produce quality routine and fairly complex diagnostic scans to ensure optimal patient care. This role involves evaluating and verifying image quality, interpreting exams with physicians, determining equipment needs, and troubleshooting equipment. The Cardio Sonographer also maintains exam rooms, completes billing reports, identifies process improvements, participates in research, and provides clinical instruction to new physicians, fellows, and students. Staying current with advancements in Sonography through continuous learning and professional engagement is also a key aspect of the role.
