About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Cardio-Pulmonary Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves caring for high-acuity cardiac, pulmonary, and stroke patients in a specialized stepdown unit while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN License or valid Compact/Multi-State RN License.
• Diploma in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current BLS Certification (AHA).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA).
• NIHSS Certification or willingness to obtain prior to or upon hire.
• Strong cardiac telemetry and stepdown nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous Stepdown, PCU, Telemetry, or Travel Nursing experience.
• Experience caring for cardiac, pulmonary, and stroke patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for cardiac and pulmonary stepdown patients.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Care for patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, myocardial infarction, and chest pain.
• Manage patients requiring Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and other non-invasive respiratory support therapies.
• Administer medications, blood products, and complex infusion therapies.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and standards.
• Recognize and escalate acute changes in patient condition promptly.
