About The Position

Searches for abnormalities in blood flow sounds or heart rhythm, oxygen saturation and the appearance of heart defects or irregularities using ultrasound equipment. Positions patients, using immobilization when necessary, and explains procedures to patients. Performs Venipuncture for insertion of venous catheter for contrast administration Administer IV contrast during the performance of contrast echocardiograms. Performs the quality control functions. Evaluates ultrasounds for diagnostic quality. Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques. Processes echo exams with appropriate medical history and match it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation. Assists in maintenance and compilation of statistical data. Performs other related duties incidental to the work therein. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in relevant field
  • ARDMS credentialing body RDCS license or CCI credentialing body RCS license
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
