About The Position

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast Michigan since 1953. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent
  • Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Cardiac 1 Year required
  • Or CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - UNKNOWN Unknown Cardiac 1 Year required

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.
  • Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound.
  • May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.
