About The Position

An experienced Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse is sought for a travel assignment at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. The position pays $2,205 per week and is scheduled for nights, with three 12-hour shifts per week. The nurse will work in a fast-paced cardiac and telemetry setting and may be required to float based on census. An every-other-weekend requirement may apply; block scheduling is not guaranteed. Requested time off must be disclosed before booking. Candidates should be comfortable caring for patients with CHF, chest pain, unstable angina, dysrhythmias, CVA/TIA, pacemakers and ICDs, cardiac catheterization patients, and patients undergoing peripheral vascular procedures. Care may also involve cardiac drips, oxygen therapy, and BiPAP.

Requirements

At least 2 years of recent Cardiac Tele experience.
BLS/BCLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
NIHSS certification required.
Telemetry experience.
IV start experience.
Cardiac drip management experience.
Dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience.
Comfort caring for patients with CHF, chest pain, unstable angina, dysrhythmias, CVA/TIA, pacemakers/ICDs, cardiac catheterization needs, peripheral vascular procedures, cardiac drips, oxygen therapy, and BiPAP.
Comfort working in a fast-paced cardiac/telemetry setting.

Nice To Haves

PCI experience preferred.
Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care in a fast-paced setting.
Care for patients with CHF, chest pain, unstable angina, dysrhythmias, CVA/TIA, pacemakers/ICDs, and cardiac catheterization needs.
Care for patients undergoing peripheral vascular procedures.
Manage cardiac drips, oxygen therapy, and BiPAP as part of patient care.
Work three 12-hour night shifts per week and potentially float based on census.
Meet the applicable every-other-weekend requirement.
