About The Position

The Registered Nurse is a Massachusetts-registered professional nurse responsible and accountable for planning and providing care to assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs, and manages patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The position is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager or supervisor.

Requirements

Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
At least 3 years of current Cardiac Surgery ICU experience.
Experience with VAD, IABP, Centri-mag, and CRRT.
Ability to perform in a charge role.
Demonstrate basic analytic thinking to care for a group of patients.
Demonstrate observational skills and ability to set priorities.
Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate effective application of hospital standards relating to service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time and priority management.
