About The Position

Join a national leader in Cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment and research. The Hartford HealthCare Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) has an opportunity for a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a busy team of collegial and highly trained staff at Hartford Hospital, located in Hartford, Connecticut. Training and experience in robotic cardiac surgery is highly desirable. Requirements

  • BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon
  • Training and experience in robotic cardiac surgery is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform robotic cardiac surgery.
  • Conduct aortic replacement, TAVR, mitral repair and replacement, and mini invasive mitral and aortic surgery.
  • Participate in a cardiothoracic surgical residency program in affiliation with the University of Connecticut.
  • Provide care within a nationally recognized 45,000 sq. ft. Center for Education, Simulation & Innovation (CESI).
  • Contribute to a program built around collaboration, mentorship, and meaningful professional growth.
  • Shape practice and the future of patient care.
