The ECHO and Stress department of CH performs in depth testing to determine the functioning the human heart. BJC HealthCare System is now hiring a Part-Time / PRN Student Cardiac Sonography Student for Christian Hospital. Are you currently studying becoming a Cardiac Sonographer and eager to gain hands-on experience in a leading academic medical center?

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
• Currently enrolled in a Cardiac Sonography program (RDCS)
• No prior experience necessary —training provided!

Nice To Haves

• Under the supervision of a registered technologist performs imaging procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Must be currently enrolled in an imaging program.Illinois: Following IEMA guidelines as it pertains to administering radiation/making exposures.

Responsibilities

• Assists the technologist with imaging procedures. Students require direct supervision in surgery.
• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.
• Assists outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.
