About The Position

The Cardiac Sonographer performs advanced ultrasound imaging procedures assisting in diagnosing and monitoring a wide range of medical conditions. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Sonography program with required clinical training, OR Completion of on-the-job training under the supervision of a registered Cardiac Ultrasound Preceptor.
No prior experience required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification or registry eligible (must obtain certification within 6 months of eligibility).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
State licensure, if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform adult echocardiography procedures and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Select appropriate imaging techniques and evaluate image quality for clarity, accuracy, and completeness before physician interpretation.
Prepare, position, and assist patients throughout procedures while providing compassionate care and education.
Review imaging orders and accurately document patient information, procedures, contrast administration, and patient responses.
Monitor patients before, during, and after exams, utilizing appropriate transfer and immobilization techniques when necessary.
Manage and maintain imaging records within PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and safety checks.
Identify equipment or technology needs and help facilitate resolutions.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
