About The Position

Cooley Dickinson Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform cardiac scans. This role involves M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and TEE. The position reports to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer and adheres to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Associates degree in radiology or equivalent certification required
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) required
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• At least 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
• Proficiency with Philips equipment
• Knowledge of TEE, TTE, and Stress echo

Nice To Haves

• Knowing Epic
• Ability to start IVs
• One (1) to three (3) years experience as an Ultrasound Technician

Responsibilities

• Operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment
• Scanning patients in all aspects of cardiac scanning including M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and TEE
• Performing TEE, TTE, and Stress echo
• Conducting bubble studies
• Utilizing Lumason for imaging agent
