About The Position

The cardiac sonographer assists with performing different modalities of cardiac ultrasound imaging exams for inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities include performing echocardiograms, stress echoes, and intra-operative echocardiograms. They assist the cardiologist with standard transesophageal echocardiograms, and intra-operative transesophageal echocardiograms performed in the cath lab for structural heart cases. The knowledge to discern and effectively report critical findings is required. Other responsibilities include typing preliminary reports, TEE probe cleaning, and other duties as delegated. Must have efficient computer skills. Must be able to communicate effectively.

Requirements

Certificate in echocardiography, degree in echocardiography, or a degree in non-invasive technology.
One year of hospital-based echocardiography experience.
Efficient computer skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in intra-operative/structural heart echo and TEE assistance.
One year of experience in 3D and strain imaging knowledge.

Responsibilities
