About The Position

As an Echo Technician (Cardiac Sonographer), you will play a critical, autonomous role in cardiac care. By performing high-quality echocardiographic examinations, you provide cardiologists with the vital structural and hemodynamic insights required to diagnose complex cardiovascular diseases and shape life-saving treatment plans. Gain hands-on experience utilizing 2D, M-Mode, Color Doppler, PW/CW, and state-of-the-art 3D imaging workflows. Work directly with industry-leading diagnostic platforms, including top-tier GE and Philips echo machines. Utilize advanced digital PACS and Cardiovascular Information Systems (CVIS) for efficient image archiving and preliminary findings documentation.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program specializing in Echocardiography.
  • Active RDCS (through ARDMS) OR RCS (through CCI) credential. OR Registry-Eligible New Graduates: Must obtain your registry certification within 12 months of your hire date.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS / CPR) certification required (can be obtained upon hire).
  • Deep understanding of cardiac anatomy and pathology, seamless interdisciplinary communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality Transthoracic (TTE) examinations according to established cardiac protocols, adapting techniques using professional judgment and ingenuity.
  • Assist cardiologists with Stress Echocardiograms and Transesophageal (TEE) examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  • Analyze cardiac structural measurements and blood flow dynamics, presenting comprehensive technical findings and digital image datasets to cardiologists.
  • Provide empathetic patient education, address physical or age-specific needs, and ensure a safe, exceptional customer service experience.
  • Complete essential quality assurance logging, troubleshoot equipment variations, clean/sanitize ultrasound probes, and maintain clean, fully stocked exam rooms.
