About The Position
The Cardiac Sonographer operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. The role provides patient services using ultrasound equipment and requires knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. The sonographer provides patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients and communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
- No experience required.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
- Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
- Apply knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
- Provide patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.
