About The Position

This position executes basic clinical competence in cardiac sonography across all locations and patient types. The Cardiac Sonographer II selects accurate equipment and technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. They actively participate in the Clinical Ladder Program, if implemented, at the individual System hospital/location, meeting and maintaining all Program standards and requirements. This role applies knowledge of cardiac sonographic principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, physics, positioning and patient care skills, and adheres to Joint Commission, State, Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards. The Cardiac Sonographer II documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems, ensures a safe and appropriate work environment, maintains supplies and inventory in the area, and informs appropriate colleagues when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors. They document and report related equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy and actively participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Education Program
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • RDMS Certification OR CCI Certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification

Benefits

  • Compensation: $80/hr. Flat Rate
