About The Position
Capital Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse to join their Cardiac Rehab team. This role involves working with and supporting patients in the Capital Cardiology’s Intensive Cardiac Rehab program. Requirements
- Current NYS license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Telemetry certification
- Ability to multitask
- Good communication skills
- Effective team approach
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years recent, hands-on experience in a cardiac practice setting or in a CCU/ER/Acute Telemetry environment
Responsibilities
- Completing initial assessment for patients referred to the program
- Identifying indicators for participation, contraindications for participation, specific monitoring needs, and risk factor modification goals
- Educating, counseling, and documenting treatment plans including measurable goals, tailored to each individual
- Evaluating and monitoring patient response to exercise therapy prior, during, and after therapy
- Reporting any significant acute conditions to the supervising physician
- Initiating ACLS measures and/or emergency care according to company policy
- Completing tasks related to patient recruitment, prior authorization, registration, and records management as needed
