About The Position
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Cardiac Exercise Technician to join our team at Heartland Cardiology in Wichita KS. This role involves managing the EMR, ordering diagnostic tests, connecting patients to heart monitors/stress testing, maintaining testing rooms, and communicating patient care issues and ideas for improvement to the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification
- Successful completion of annual Basic Dysrhythmia class
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage the EMR across heart station, ultrasound, and nuclear departments to access staff and patient needs.
- Properly order all diagnostic testing within EMR.
- Connect patients to heart monitors/stress testing while providing necessary instructions to the patient.
- Maintain testing rooms in all departments including but not limited to stocking linen, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide supervisor accurate and timely information regarding patient care issues that cause concern.
- Communicate problems and ideas to supervisor to improve clinical aspects and overall efficient functioning of the departments.
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
