About The Position

The Cardiac Device Technician is primarily responsible for performing device interrogations, interpretations and programming of Pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators, Loop Recorders, and home monitor equipment. Responsible for above procedures and processing patient data with clinical judgment using a variety of information systems while facilitating clear patient education regarding their cardiac care, medications, disease process/prevention, risk factors, and cardiac procedures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree -- Exercise or Health Science, or related industry field or 5 years' experience in cardiac telemetry, electrocardiogram, electrophysiology tech, monitor tech, device industry, or device monitoring may be considered.
  • National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire OR, National Certified Cardiac Device Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners upon hire OR, National Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners upon hire OR, National Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners upon hire OR, National Clinical Exercise Physiologist - American College of Sports Medicine upon hire OR, National Certified EKG Technician - National Healthcareer Association upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 1 year - Experience in cardiac services.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree.
  • 1 year - Cardiac device experience.
