Requirements

A certificate of completion from an approved cardiac device technical school that provides a formal curriculum of education and training in cardiac pacing, defibrillation, cardiac resynchronization therapy and electrophysiology OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of cardiac pacing or electrophysiology in the ambulatory (outpatient) setting.
One (1) year of EP clinical experience as a Cardiac Device Specialist.

Nice To Haves

Certified Clinical Device Specialist (CCDS) through Heart Rhythm Society within 24 months of hire.
Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) certification by International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE).
Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).

Responsibilities

Provide technical and clinical services in the Electrophysiology ambulatory (outpatient) setting.
Perform Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) interrogations.
Interpret ECG and measured data, evaluate arrhythmia burden, and interpret diagnostics.
Program cardiac devices.
Report to an EP Provider.
Manage patient diagnostics in manufacturer remote monitoring websites.
Analyze and manage transmissions.
Enter data in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Maintain data integrity with the system.
Direct patients to EP Providers when appropriate.
Support CIED management under the direction of supervising EP provider, Lead Cardiac Device Specialist and/or EP Manager.
