About The Position

This position offers specialized care for cardiac catheterization patients at Arnett Hospital, primarily focused on scrubbing in to assist during invasive cardiac procedures, setting up and operating procedural equipment, and delivering comprehensive direct patient care. The schedule requires rotation every third weekend, coverage for one summer and one winter holiday, and rotating weekday call shifts.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Post high school coursework in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification through the AHA
• Healthcare experience involving direct patient care, noninvasive cardiovascular service, or directly related technical patient care experience
• Knowledge of various cardiac catheterization procedures (over 15) and related equipment and instruments
• Knowledge of scrubbing and circulating techniques to actively assist with cardiac catheterization procedures
• Knowledge and operation of respiratory and EKG equipment
• Basic knowledge of cardiac and emergency procedures

Nice To Haves

• Additional college coursework in health care, biological sciences, or related disciplines is preferred
• Additional cardiovascular experience preferred
• Professional degree or certification when commonly associated with the professional experience the candidate possesses
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
