About The Position
Executes appropriate patient care by assisting the physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Supports team members before, during, and following procedures to assure optimal patient care. Registry may define responsibilities that are specific to each registry but does not limit activities under direct physician supervision.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license.
- Cardiac catheterization for diagnostic and interventional procedures experience.
- Cardiovascular patient care experience.
- Radiographic special procedures and/or hemodynamic monitoring experience accepted.
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced dynamic work environment related to changing daily work schedules.
- Ability to work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac disease.
- Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Supporting team members before, during, and following procedures to assure optimal patient care.
- Accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures.
