About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The nurse manages care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies. Nursing practice reflects collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Georgia RN license in good standing without limitations.
• American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, Emergency Services, or Electrophysiology.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree.
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Provide care within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Manage care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies.
