About The Position

Northside Hospital Heart Institute (NHHI) is seeking Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists to join their team at Northside Gwinnett's campus. This role focuses on providing specialized care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and other heart-related procedures. The team has extensive experience in cardiovascular disease, including fellowship training, subspecialty certification in Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology, and board certification in heart ultrasound (TEE). NHHI is a leading institution in heart and vascular care in metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program
• Completion of ACGME accredited Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship Program
• Board certified/board eligible in Anesthesiology
• Board certified/board eligible in Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology
• Current Georgia Medical licensure or ability to obtain an unrestricted Georgia license
• Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training in cardiovascular disease
• Board certification in heart ultrasound (TEE)

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing surgical procedures such as coronary artery bypass, valve repair or replacement, and aortic repair.
• Provide care in the catheterization and electrophysiology labs for catheter-based interventions such as percutaneous valve repair or replacement, percutaneous closure of congenital defects (atrial septal defects), and closure of the left atrial appendage.
• Join an established, collegial cardiac anesthesia team serving Northside Hospital Gwinnett.
• Work in a diverse case mix, all cardiac focused.
• Collaborate in a practice environment with experienced anesthesiologists, CRNAs, anesthesiologist assistants, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.
