This is a regular, full-time, 100% On-Site position based at our Gibson Operation Center in Albuquerque with hybrid schedule opportunity after a period and with manager discretion. This is what we would like you to do: Responsible for assisting the various Card Services functions to ensure compliance with required deadlines, regulations, member service standards, error resolution, and reporting. Process adjustments involving plastic cards. Support department efforts to maintain G.L. accounts. Responsibilities include managing dispute/fraud caseload by researching, investigating, documenting, and resolving claims utilizing Visa rules and Federal regulations. Maintain adherence to applicable regulations, KCU policies, and procedures. Support the credit union’s mission, vision, strategic goals, quality initiatives, and service standards. Support and provide exceptional internal and external member service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of financial institution experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year experience with debit, ATM, and credit card products including set-up requirements, maintenance, dispute processing and VISA regulations preferred.
  • Understanding of Credit Union operations and information needs.
  • Thorough knowledge of business unit software applications.
  • Understanding of basic debit/credit card processing.
  • Understanding of deposit compliance including Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well with internal/external members.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of efficiency, accuracy, and self-accountability in a deadline driven environment.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Well organized.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of deposit laws and regulations.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems with members and employees.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for supporting and/or backing up all critical processing functions within Card Services.
  • Utilize the various systems including PSCU, CO-OP, and Episys to perform card related tasks.
  • Work daily monetary and non-monetary exception reports related to debit and credit card.
  • Support KCU and vendors in efforts to help mitigate fraud.
  • Assist employees and members in the prompt and accurate resolution of member issues/questions.
  • Respond to card related calls from vendors, members, and merchants.
  • Process card exceptions and settlement adjustments.
  • Process dispute claims in accordance with Visa Rules & Regulations, Federal Regulation Z, Federal Regulation E, and internal procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Create and maintain written procedures related to the card services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
