Car Wash Technician
About The Position
Come Join the Murdock Auto Team at the Lindon Car Wash. We are looking for an individual working Part-time 30 hours a week to work our closing shift. Murdock has been privately family owned for over 100 years. As a Car wash attendant at Murdock Car Wash, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive and efficient experience. You will be responsible for greeting customers, explaining services, handling transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility. This role also involves promoting memberships and additional services while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
- Must be able to read, count, and write accurately.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work various hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and handle physical tasks like bending, reaching, and stooping.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter the car wash facility with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Provide detailed information about services offered by Murdock Car Wash and assist customers in choosing the right services.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve price discrepancies, and direct customers to other departments when necessary.
- Maintain accuracy in all cash transactions, ensuring proper register balance at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Promote memberships, additional services, and vending items to customers, recognizing opportunities to enhance their experience.
- Stock and maintain the merchandise in the vending cart.
- Explain car wash entry procedures to customers and ensure safety and proper car loading.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality cleaning services and addressing concerns or special requests.
- Follow all safety protocols when handling chemicals, equipment and vehicles. Ensure the proper storage of disposal of cleaning agents, chemicals and waste materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the car wash environment is safe and inviting. Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties, including keeping the driveways, restrooms, and car wash areas clean and orderly.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and customer experience.
