About The Position

Reeder Distributors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Car Wash Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial car wash systems and equipment. This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of direct, hands-on experience working on commercial car wash equipment . The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background, can troubleshoot complex systems, and is comfortable working independently in the field. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, maintaining system performance, and delivering reliable, high-quality service to our customers. Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm, with occasional on-call weekends required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience servicing commercial car wash equipment is required
  • Strong experience in mechanical and electrical repair
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs. and working outdoors in various conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and reliability

Nice To Haves

  • Control wiring experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, routine service, and preventative maintenance on car wash systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Troubleshoot wash system problems quickly to reduce downtime.
  • Install, adjust, and calibrate new equipment and replacement parts.
  • Maintain accurate repair and service documentation.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and service calls as needed.
  • Monitor and repair chemical delivery systems, including pumps, hoses, and valves.
  • Follow all safety standards and company procedures.
  • Partner with management to schedule service and maintenance.
  • Provide basic equipment training and guidance to staff.
