Part Time Car Wash Attendant
About The Position
Hertz is seeking an energetic, motivated team player for a part-time Car Wash Attendant position at a Hertz Local Edition location. The role pays $14.00 per hour, with monthly incentives that vary based on job performance. The attendant must be available to work scheduled hours according to branch needs. The attendant cleans, sanitizes, inspects, fuels, and prepares vehicles for service while following company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. Duties also include keeping the workstation clean and stocked, supporting detailing and specialized cleaning as needed, and participating in operational and safety discussions. Requirements
- Must be at least 20 years old.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and prepare vehicles according to Vehicle Operations standard work procedures and quality standards.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, registration status, warning lights, and overall condition.
- Fuel vehicles and update fuel and mileage information in company applications.
- Perform quadrant cleaning procedures and inspect interior surfaces.
- Remove trash, identify and secure lost-and-found items, and follow contraband and weapon reporting procedures.
- Inspect tire condition, tread depth, and vehicle readiness before returning vehicles to service.
- Operate vehicles safely during fueling and washing and follow site safety protocols.
- Perform odor treatment, detailing, and specialized cleaning when required.
- Maintain workstation cleanliness, replenish supplies, and complete end-of-shift responsibilities.
- Participate in daily huddles, safety discussions, and operational updates.
- Prioritize safety during vehicle movement, cleaning, and workstation activities.
- Comply with company policies, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Immediately report accidents, vehicle damage, hazards, safety concerns, and non-compliance issues.
- Use required personal protective equipment and approved cleaning products.
- Follow proper procedures for handling fuel spills, chemicals, razor blades, and hazardous situations.
