About The Position

The Car Wash Attendant is responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, and explaining the wash options available. This role involves standing at pay stations to assist customers, guiding vehicles into the wash tunnel, and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the car wash facility through various cleaning tasks. The attendant also performs opening/closing procedures and basic troubleshooting. The position requires excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills, the ability to anticipate customer needs, recommend wash memberships, work as a team, and possess proficient computer skills for a point-of-sale system. A strong work ethic and professional attitude are essential. Experience in customer service and sales is preferred. The role involves frequent standing and walking, reaching with hands and arms, and occasional stooping, crouching, and kneeling. The employee must be able to work in damp, humid, and outdoor variable weather conditions, and may need to lift objects up to 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally. The working environment is a typical outdoor car wash with moderate to potentially loud noise levels, requiring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection, and adherence to OSHA safety guidelines. The team member must be capable of performing responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Greeting customers, answering questions, and explaining wash options.
Assisting every customer at the pay stations.
Fielding customer inquiries.
Guiding customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
Upkeeping the condition of the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out the garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay.
Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting to work on time and following the dress and appearance code.
