Car Wash Assistant Manager 1
About The Position
The Car Wash Assistant Manager functions as the manager in charge when the Site Manager is unavailable. This role is responsible for ordering and stocking vending, providing training to new hires, and ensuring proper opening/closing procedures and loading techniques are followed. The Assistant Manager will also train the team on Fast Pass sales techniques, professionally handle communications, create effective schedules, and possess complete knowledge of the car wash vacuum system operation, including cleaning it. They will support the Site Manager during monthly team meetings, assist with on-site Supervisor Courses, and supervise teammates completing PM tasks, assessing training needs. Additionally, the Assistant Manager is responsible for completing the GSR Daily Breakdown.
Requirements
- High school diploma plus 6 months to 1 year retail and management work experience preferred.
- Leadership and communication skills including active listening.
- Experience with team building.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills.
- Ability to anticipate customer needs.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong work ethics and professional attitude.
- Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role.
- Candidates with supervisory experience from a Big Box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Function as the manager in charge when Site Manager is unavailable.
- Responsible for ordering and stocking of vending.

- Able to train on Opening/Closing checklists and proper loading techniques to teammates.
- Responsible for training Fast Pass sales techniques to the team.
- Professionally responds to voicemails and emails in a timely manner.
- Able to create an effective schedule.
- Complete knowledge of Car Wash vacuum system operation.
- Able to clean the vacuum system (pressure washing the system).
- Support the Site Manager during monthly team meetings.
- Assist with on-site Supervisor Courses.
- Supervise teammates completing PM and assess if further training is needed.
- Complete the GSR Daily Breakdown.
