Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

Inspects materials and sorts items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, coloring, marking, or other characteristics
Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits
Operate machinery used in the production process or assist equipment operators
Load and unload items from machines, conveyor and conveyances
Ability to work both shifts
Moves reusable materials to production department or storage
Separates metal particles from waste
Cleaning which includes; sweeping and shoveling residual waste from process
Removes waste materials from conveyor
Other duties may be assigned
