About The Position

As a Car Electronics Installation Lead you’ll oversee installation bay operations at our local Best Buy store, including driving sales and maintaining customer satisfaction. You’ll use your experience and advanced technical skills to install complex technology into customers’ vehicles and maintain high installation standards across the team. You’ll also provide advice, best practices and support to clients and your fellow employees. Internally, this role is known as an Autotech Lead.

Requirements

Current, valid driver’s license
Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)
Best Buy level 2 Autotech Certification

Nice To Haves

Previous professional experience with car installations
Previous experience coaching, training and providing feedback to others
Previous retail experience

Responsibilities

Install and provide guidance on complex car electronics including hardwired remote starts, advanced speakers and advanced in-dash units
Install and provide guidance on standard car electronics including T- harness remote starts, standard speakers, dash cameras, backup cameras, amplifiers and in-dash units
Perform work on vehicles of all makes and models and communicate any compatibility issues prior to installation
Use resources and technical acumen for troubleshooting complex automotive solutions
Maintain customer satisfaction by managing appointments, offering technical advice and recommending additional products
Educate customers and employees on car-related services and technology
