About The Position

Ōme Caterers hosts an extraordinary range of events—from intimate cocktail receptions to elegant sit-down galas, weddings, and corporate celebrations. Our venue and our team are known for delivering polished, memorable experiences that guests remember for years to come. Ōme Caterers is seeking a dedicated Captain. The Captain will be responsible for set-up and complete oversight of functions, leading the entire team and delivering outstanding service to all our guests across every event style we host. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep passion for hospitality.

Requirements

• A high school diploma is typically required; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in supervisory roles
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively manage staff and interact with guests
• A keen eye for detail to ensure service quality and adherence to standards

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of event services, managing the overall guest experience from arrival to departure, across everything from cocktail hours to formal seated dinners
• Supervise, lead, and coordinate a team of waitstaff, providing training and guidance to ensure excellent delivery of service
• Work closely with kitchen staff to maintain food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with health regulations
• Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and enhancing guest satisfaction
