The Capstone Clinical Faculty position is an onsite role within a clinical setting, working with one of Chamberlain University's clinical partners. The primary responsibility is to facilitate students' transition into professional nursing by guiding them through an exploration of trends and issues in professional nursing and engaging them in experiential-based nursing experiences. This culminating clinical practicum focuses on refining skills in the delivery and management of nursing care within the context of legal, ethical, and evidence-based practice. The role involves implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service. The clinical instructor plans and supervises student clinical experiences, evaluates student performance, and provides feedback. They are also responsible for grading assignments and maintaining knowledge of agency policies and procedures. The position may involve teaching didactic content under the supervision of a course coordinator and reporting to the dean or assistant dean.
